Package will include 6 or 12 shrimp (Select Quantity) which is a good number to start a group in a 10 or 20 gallon setup.
I will try to include both male and female shrimp* and sizes may be variable.
Neocaridina davidi are a hardy species of freshwater shrimp that do well in a variety of parameters. They prefer harder water and temps in the mid 70s but can survive temperature swings for short periods of time. They do great in a naturalistic planted tank and are not destructive. They will not harm your fish and can successfully reproduce in a tank with smaller fish as long as they are provided tight cracks and crevices where the babies can grow up (such as a rock pile or holey limestone). They come in a variety of color morphs with females generally being more colorful than the males.
